Dec 17, 2020 A new report concludes that when Alberta specific data is used, upstream greenhouse gas (GHG) intensity numbers of oil sands production pathways are 14 to 35 per cent lower than previously published in Masnadi et al. Emerging technologies assessed in the study can further reduce upstream Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) emissions by 14 to 19 per cent.
